Funkwerks Wild 1

This crisp, dry, ale was aged for one year in their 800 gallon oak foudre. The fruity aromas and spice flavors are derived from the brettanomyces and wild yeast previously inoculated inside the foudre, as well as from the 425 pounds of passion fruit purée added during fermentation. Warming flavors of ripened fruit and wild funk pair perfectly with the slight hint of tartness contributed by the passion fruit.
