Beer description
We procured barrels from two of the best Bourbon Distilleries along Kentucky's famed Bourbon Trail: Willett Distillery (Bardstown, KY) & Jim Beam Distillery (Clermont, KY). Two different batches of our Oatmeal Stout were selected and used to fill these barrels that were just emptied and still dripping wet with bourbon. After aging for the better part of a year, this beer has developed a higher abv (8.0%), and has taken on smooth, delicate characters of charred American Oak, and the rich vanilla and caramel flavors of these two award-winning bourbons.
