We love a good rye whiskey here at Central Waters, and we were pretty excited to get these barrels a couple years back. We took the powerhouse base beer from our anniversary series and aged it in Buffalo Trace rye whiskey barrels for twenty four months. The subtleness of these barrels is spectacular as Buffalo Trace is rumored to use less rye in their mash than other rye whiskeys on the market - we knew right away which beer to put in them! The slight sweetness of the stout base combined with the subtle spiciness of rye whiskey made a beer worthy of this label series.
