Able Baker Brewing - Of Balloons & Unicorns

The local hobby artist Naomi Benham provides us with the unique artwork for our 5th edition of the popular Hazy IPA. 1970 saw the most photographed nuclear explosion in history. In this test, code-named "Licorne" (translated "unicorn"), a 914 kiloton bomb was suspended from a helium-filled balloon and detonated 500 meters above the ground. The resulting mushroom cloud and aftermath have been described as "frightening and startlingly beautiful," and photos of the explosion show the oxymoronic balance of its destructive elegance. This Hazy IPA envelops you with a soft mouthfeel, aroma and taste, while it floats delicately in the space between hoppy and fruity. This version is dominated by Strata and Citra and has been brewed with oats for a smooth and creamy finish. When Able Baker Brewing was founded, we started chasing seemingly unreachable dreams.
