Beer description
Kveik Grape Ale with Riesling Grand Cru
Collab' feat. Au Millésime & Domaine Frédéric Mochel - 7.8
It's a well-known fact that life is made up of encounters, sometimes unexpected, sometimes arranged, for better or for worse!
So one fine day in June/July/September (we don't know which), Jérémy from the Comptoir du Millésime in Vendenheim put us in touch with Guillaume, from the highly reputed Domaine Frédéric Mochel, located in Traenheim, 30 minutes from the brewery, to concoct a wine-related beer.
The Grape Ale style seemed obvious to us at the time, and so we ended up with 300L of Riesling Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten (organic, no less), which we blended into this beer using a Kveik yeast that moves hard.
The result is a dry, powerful beer in which we clearly find the roundness and aromatic generosity of the Riesling Grand Cru, which here develops astonishing fruity notes of mango and pineapple.
In short, a beer you can drink with your little finger in the air!
