Beer description
A West Coast IPA born from a devilish collaboration with Nama Brewing. Behind its white head lies a beer with a wild character: resinous and balsamic with a tropical, citrusy edge. Very old school, with a nice bitterness balanced by the body and structure of the malts.
APPEARANCE: In the glass it has a deep and slightly cloudy colour, the foam is compact, fine and persistent.
ON THE NOSE: The bouquet is intense, with hops as the main protagonists: the initial impact is decidedly resinous and dank, but it is soon accompanied by a subtle citrus note with hints of cedar and lime. After a few seconds in the glass, this evolves into more opulent tropical notes of papaya and ripe kiwi, which blend with the strong persistence of the resinous and balsamic component, reaching a hint of ginger. In the background, however, the malts can also be detected, emerging with a subtle hint of toasted bread.
ON THE PALATE: On the palate, it has a fairly lively carbonation, which helps to better convey the aromatic components of the hops, and a medium-round body, necessary to best support the significant bitterness. On the palate, too, we see a clear prevalence of decidedly refreshing resinous aromas, pleasantly accompanied by citrusy hints of lime at the beginning of the palate and a return of ginger, also perceived on the nose, midway before a powerful, intense yet elegant and never harsh bitterness finish followed by a long aftertaste in which hints of lime and ginger return.
