Beer description
In September 2020 we brought in 100+ gallons of Grade A Maple Syrup from Vermont. We then placed it in two freshly emptied 8yo Elijah Craig Barrel Proof barrels. It aged there for 6+ months and the resultant syrup was sold in May of 2021.
We also used that barrel-aged maple syrup to make Blue Waffles. The batch was released in August of ‘21.
We couldn’t resist and took the time to sneak a bit of it into a barrel too. In this particular case; a 7.5yo Laird’s Apple Brandy barrel. After 22+ months in the wood; it’s ready for consumption.
