Beer description

Augustiner Helles Alcohol-Free - Tradition meets zeitgeist 🍺 With the Augustiner Helles Alcohol-Free, the Munich traditional brewery Augustiner-Bräu has introduced an alcohol-free beer for the first time in its around 700-year history. The official launch took place on March 19, 2024 – and immediately caused a sensation in the beer world. Particularly noteworthy: It was not only the brewery's first alcohol-free beer, but also the first real product innovation in decades – an unusual step for a brand that is otherwise known for stability and tradition. A hype like Germany rarely sees Hardly had it appeared, the alcohol-free Augustiner became a veritable cult product. The demand increased so rapidly that the beer was sold out in many places within a short period of time and sometimes didn't even make it to the market at all. In many beverage markets – especially in Munich – the beer was hardly available for weeks. Even when deliveries arrived, the stocks were often sold out within a few hours. This enormous rush even surprised the brewery itself: the production quantities initially could not keep up with the demand, which is why Augustiner had to increase its capacities. Cult status in no time The hype around the Augustiner Helles Alcohol-Free impressively demonstrates how strong the trend towards alcohol-free beers has become – and how great the appeal of a traditional brand can be. In a very short time, the beer became one of the most sought-after alcohol-free products in Germany and now enjoys true cult status.
