Beer description
The Original Marbendill was a collab with Borg Brugghús in Iceland. It was imagined as a Baltic porter fermented 100% with Brettanomyces yeast.
When the idea came up to revisit the beer we not only decided to make the beer stronger, but also to enhance the beer by barrel aging it.
The result is a beer with a complet pallet of red fruits, dark roast and spices. The barrel aging brings notes of vanilla, molasses, figs and some extra warmth.
It stayed weird, in a good way, just like the Marbendill itself, a half man/ half-seal creature that is said to roam Icelandic waters
