Beer description
1461 days ago we opened our doors (there was a leap year in there), and we have easily been taught 1461 new lessons. Some great, some not so much. Through all the ups and downs, the lucky guesses and stupid mistakes, the successes and failures, familiar faces and new family, we’ve kept the same focus. Make great beer, explore unique flavors, and love every second of it.
These past four years, we’ve introduced a lot of new beers and several have made encore appearances. What you have in your glass is the second go round of our previously released Chardonnay barrel aged weizenbock. We have used freshly dumped chardonnay barrels, giving brilliant apple and pear flavors, as well as beautiful oak tannins that provide some texture and a crisper finish. Going into the barrels, the weizenbock had a big banana bread character, coming out of the barrel, it’s transformed to a more subtle, fresh out of the oven, soft and flaky biscuit.
This beer will open up as it warms in your glass, so no need to rush consuming. It’ll also cellar well, so don’t hesitate to take some home with you. If you just aren’t patient enough to cellar it however, no worries. We’ve already aged it for you, and it’s delicious!
