Bad Beat Dead Man's Hand

As a general rule, crystal malt and hops don’t work well together…...but rules were meant to be broken, and with our Imperial Red, Dead Man’s Hand, we smashed that rule into a billion little pieces of hoppy toffee goodness. In the brewery, putting these two ingredients together can feel like walking a tightrope, with no safety net. A little too much one way or the other, and down we go. With the right hops, malts, and some finesse we combine and create aggressive flavor, robust aroma, and dangerous drinkability. Aggressive flavor stems from a healthy dose of dark crystal malts and hop bursting with the bold American hops Simcoe, Nugget, and Denali. Robust aroma from the large dry hop charge, and dangerous drinkability…..this beer is 9.2%, and there’s a real good chance you did not know that until you read this sentence.
