Beer description
You’re never too old to have your mind blown. We spend so much time obsessing over our malts, hops, and yeast. Our water, however, has always been simple. Get a report, see what minerals we have, carbon filter out impurities, and use acids to neutralize alkalinity. But water makes up (on average) 94% of our beer, so we decided to make some changes, and take complete control over our ingredients.
Today Years Old is the very first beer we produced that takes advantage of our new water system, but that’s not all! It is also the first beer we’ve made using a wildy tropical fruity South African hop variety named Southern Passion AND a crazy fun Norwegian farmhouse yeast, kveik.
We proudly present NE style IPA to you. It’s over the top hoppy with an almost complete absence of bitterness. The drinkability is through the roof. While the complexity and nuances of Southern Passions’ fruity hoppy characteristics are incredibly delightful. Pineapple, orange, guava, mango, passionfruit and hints of berries are all there waiting for you to sip and savor.
How old were you when you first had a beer with hops from South Africa, yeast from Norway, malt from Wisconsin & Germany, and custom built water from Henderson, NV?
