Get Nect is a Modern West Coast Rye IPA inspired by the legends at @mcilhenneybrewing, formerly Alpine Brewing Company, featuring our beloved Nelson hop, alongside its newer cousin Nectaron.
The Mcilhenney's are essentially the people we can thank for the Nelson craze today, as they were some of the first people to brew with it, outside of New Zealand. They actually brought it home in their luggage after a vacation there to test in a batch of beer! Since then, Nelson has been everywhere, and we can thank the Mcilhenney's for that. So thank you!
Get Nect is inspired by their Rye IPAs, and the end result is a super bright and hop saturated Modern West Coast IPA. We used a lot of flaked rye in this one, which gives it a slightly hazy look, compared to classic West Coast IPAs. It's fermented with a classic clean American Ale yeast and features a double dry hop with Nelson (T90, Cryo, Bliss & Hop Kief) & Nectaron!
It's filled with flavors of dank tropical kush, diesel, white grapes, pineapple & passionfruit, with a touch of drying spice from the rye & an assertive bitterness!
This beer has been on the drawing board for a while, so we're super excited to finally share it with you all!
