Like your meads a bit meaty?
This is the highest ABV mead we’ve ever made.
Along with @ology_brewing_co and @ology_distilling we made a fortified mead back in 20’.
Red Currants, Tart Cherries, Boysenberries and Apricots. Then fortified with a Brandy made with the same fruits with Ology Distilling.
We then placed it in an 8yo Heaven Hill barrel for 17 months.
The result? 18.5% of Berry and caramel goodness. The alcohol well hidden despite its lofty ABV.
