Batzen - Kranewitten

Kranewitten is the old Bavarian expression for juniper berries. This top-fermented beer is brewed exclusively with South Tyrolean brewing grain. Spices such as juniper, mountain salt and pepper give this beer a particularly spicy flavor, which combines perfectly with the citrus notes of the hops. Lots of ragged foam on the dark orange beer. In the nose a basket of citrus fruits such as orange and clementine, but without their acidity. The entry starts medium full-bodied and a bit rezent. It tastes very fruity with the fruits mentioned in the smell. The hops are subtle in the aftertaste with the hoppy fruit flavors reminiscent of bitter orange. The beer is incredibly harmonious and drinkable.
