Baumburger - Sopherl

The basis of the Baumburger Eisbock is the light Doppelbock - the Traudi is practically the mother of the Sopherl. It gives it its dark golden yellow color. With 11% vol. there is a lot of music in the little one with the long neck. Anyone looking for fruity noses and delicate tones of caramel on the tongue is on the wrong boat. When composing the cold sopherl, the only thing that mattered to the master brewer was to brew an Eisbock that rounded off hops, alcohol and natural sweetness and combined it harmoniously into a straight, mild, classic beer taste. Aroma hop gadgets are not Sopherl's thing - they don't follow any fleeting trend, there is nothing artificial or artificial. The Sopherl has what it takes to be classics.
