Beer description
Hazy dark amber, unstable, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of candied banana & dates, licorice, burnt caramel, mocha, ‘Ersatz’ chocolate, raisin, green tea. Taste is medium malty sweet, caramel & licorice, faint chocolate, dried dark fruits, slightly sourish that way, herbal bitterness in the form of green tea leaves, mocha; ending dry, herbal hoppy, with more caramel, licorice & faint toast. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Less ‘dark’ than I would have wanted. Unconvincing.
