Beer description
The 2017 NJ peach crop outgrew our usual stainless fruit refermentation vessels, so we added over 400 lbs of quartered, sixthed, and eighthed fresh South Jersey Cresthaven peaches to a single 400L Hungarian oak red wine puncheon of mature Berliner Messe (our spontaneously fermented pale wheat ale). After a three month refermentation/maceration, the beer was racked off of the fruit and bottled unblended in these 1.5L bottles.
