The Poldermolenaar is a Belgian style quadrupel, as the Trappists also brew it. This beer gets its dark colour from the dark candy sugar that is used in the brewing. The Belgian yeast provides a touch of dried fruit and figs that combines perfectly with the hints of laurel and paradise seed. With a good dose of carbon dioxide and 10% alcohol, a perfect winter beer to enjoy quietly by the fire. Share
