Who is this El Patrón actually? Not the evil drug lord from Colombia, but the one who is the inspiration for this beer. That will remain a secret forever! But what remains a mystery is the similarity to the character of this Double India Pale Ale. Because what comes through on the nose, tongue and palate is powerful. A strong, full-bodied representative of the style. Incredibly creamy and velvety, actually even somehow gentle. And yet El Patrón quickly shows what it can do. On the nose, it has captivating tropical passion fruit notes, a little honey and vanilla, which soon give way to grassy-green hop aromas in the first sip. A full body that is paired with a strong bitterness at the end. And then there's the alcohol. Yes, you can feel it too. This beer moves through the impressions like a wave.
