It is a beer created for our 9th birthday and it was with a celebratory beer in mind that we took inspiration from the Märzen/Festbier category.
Autumn is a time for drinking with friends under the Maibaum before the arrival of winter in a cheerful Munich biergarten surrounded by the smell of bratwurt and sauerkraut.
Historically, Festbier is brewed in March to be stored for a long time during the summer and then drunk at autumn festivals.
On the palate, we find biscuity malt aromas wrapped in light floral scents given by the Hallertau Mittelfruh hops from the Tettnang area.
Characteristic in the aroma profile is the hint of bread crust given by the bottom-fermenting yeast.
