Underwood Brewery - Black Dream

a descendant of the Dream series in the style of Black IPA. It's a strange style that, because of its name (black pale ale), stands on the borderline of stouts and IPAs - dark but well-hopped. So we have long wanted to brew our own version, but one that is balanced and without the stout-like burn. Not a hopped stout, but a black ipecac. And finally we found a way to do it - we brewed a cold brew from chocolate malt and added it to the base lager. And for dry hopping, traditionally for the first time in Ukraine, we used Spectrum extract of Citra and Mosaic varieties. As a result, we have a good balance: tropical citrus and coniferous hop aroma, distinct bitterness and light caramel burn. And a dense black colour, of course.
