Black Heath - Mémoire

Like our brains, barrels hold memories of the past. Our ongoing barrel collaborations transfer ingredients and ideas, building upon each other. This offering was crafted with Manic Meadery in Crown Point, IN. It's origin is a 4 Point Rum Barrel from Virago Spirits in Richmond, VA. It was first filled with a traditional Maple Blossom mead. Next up was a mead with caramelized alfalfa and western buckwheat honey with black raspberry, black currant, and blackberry. The mead today added Virginia wildflower honey, grapes, and Michigan cherries.
