Beer description
With the summer solstice upon us, why not celebrate our longest days with this Belgian Strong Ale, barrel-aged in Douro red wine casks for extra depth and complexity. Sure, it might seem counterintuitive to launch a rich, warming beer in June - but it's actually the perfect post-BBQ beer to share with friends around the fire pit in the garden at the end of a summer's evening. Try it.
Floral, citrus, spicy and dark fruit notes are followed by orange peel, caramel and soft tannins on the palate along with those quintessentially Belgian-style esters.
