It's a common joke when the brewery has to travel to the West for every harvest to rub the hops... "Yes, I like everything about it... I just wish it would pop more." It turns out that quantifying the "popping" can be incredibly difficult for a lab that is trying to screen the incoming batches of hops. They present some of their chosen favorite batches and let them loose with Cryo Pop, a blend of Yakima Chief Hops specifically developed for dry-hopping during primary fermentation. Yes, I like that... But can we make it pop?
