Úlfur, Icelandic for "wolf" and an Icelandic given name, is an American-style West Coast IPA. Úlfur is dry-hopped with American hops, which exude a bitter and fruity aroma and taste of citrus fruits (especially grapefruit) as well as a wonderful spiciness that tempts you to take another sip. The earliest mention of hops can be found in the Naturalis Historia of the Roman naturalist Pliny the Elder, in which he mentions a mysterious plant, the Lupus Salictarius or willow wolf.
