Our light beer is an unfiltered pilsner in terms of brewing method and recipe! (Keller-Pils) And because everyone knows a Pils as a golden-yellow, bare-filtered beer, we call it light beer. Brewers drink their beer straight from the storage tank, and for good reason: The unfiltered beer still contains the valuable brewer's yeast with its vitamins, minerals and proteins. It also contains a large number of polyphenols, which are said to have a health-promoting effect similar to that in red wine. The whole thing gives the beer more fullness and body. Our light is brewed with 4 different light barley malts from Bamberg and Hallertau aroma hops. The bottom-fermenting yeast ferments the malt wort gently and slowly at low temperatures. Alcohol and carbonic acid are formed in the process. During the several weeks of constant cold storage, our beer matures until it has reached its full taste. Good beer takes time! Like in the old days. Anyone who tries our Helles will also remember times gone by. The smell lets the finest hop aromas rise into the nose, the initial taste is refreshing and is accompanied by a subtle malt sweetness. This malt note serves to support the aroma hops. After the first sip, the delicately tart hop aroma appears on the palate. The carbonic acid is elegantly embedded and the delicately tart bitterness clearly stands for a beer of the classic Pilsen brewing style.
