Beer description
We always brew vintage beers in the same way and always mature them in the same way - but there are still differences from year to year. They are slightly hopped barley wine with a light liqueur character and a noticeable cognac flavour - the ideal beer for long storage in a dark cellar. The complex flavour comes from the long fermentation phase with three yeasts in an open vat and the ageing process of over a year in old French cognac barrels. The power of the climate and the mysticism of the 300-year-old barrique cellar have certainly contributed to this. The quantity of these vintage beers is limited, which soon increases their collector's value.
