Beer description
With the Red Beer from Hopfenfänger, a northern German beer specialty enters the can. The bottom-fermented, red full beer presents itself reddish-brown and naturally cloudy in the glass - a sight that already hints at the strong malt flavors meeting fine fruit notes. In the nose, candied fruits unfold, accompanied by hints of red berries and plums. The first sip is pleasantly sweet, carried by malty nuances that harmoniously pick up the fruity aromas and provide a rounded taste experience.
In the finish, the Red Beer shows a medium effervescence and becomes slightly drier, allowing the fruity notes to elegantly linger. This beer is brewed by the Bremen craft brewery Hopfenfänger on the Überseeinsel. Started in 2014 as a startup and initially brewing as a "Gypsy Brewer", the team now brews on a modern 15-hectoliter system in the Reislager. With their own canning facility, the beers go directly from the brewing kettle to the can - fresh, precise, and completely in-house. A true piece of Bremen brewing culture that combines craftsmanship, innovation, and a spirit of experimentation.
