The basis of coffee beer consists of four types of Czech malt, while typically black color comes from a coloring that is roasted at temperatures up to 220 ° C. The result of this process are distinctive roasted tones, reminiscent of coffee or dark chocolate. Typical fullness and caramel aroma are transformed from caramel malt into beer. A distinctive feature of Břevnov coffee beer is its slightly lower fullness and sweetness, which, combined with the gentler bitterness, creates a well-drinkable beer, not only for women. The beer is hopped by Saaz semi-early red hops and fermented in traditional open vats. Already the original coffee aroma was accentuated by the addition of coffee macerate from France.
