Pours unclear, darker amber. Medium sized head, low to medium stability. Smell is malty ( white bread, very mild doughy notes) and yeasty ( some esthers, ofcourse ). Taste has a nice level of bitterness, compared to the Belgian average, but very much esthers and phenols. To the point it almost turns what I call ’plastic’. Medium spiced flavors. Even though i prefer most beers to be bitter, I feel like this much esthers and phenols really call for something more to the sweet side. it would be very bland, of course, since we have 100’s of those already in Belgium, but in a nice bitter beer, I simply prefer less yeastyness. Average body and carbo.
