This year, we wanted to try something different for our Piece of Cake series. When we started thinking about brewing a Tarte Tatin-inspired pastry stout, our brewers came up with a more fitting idea: a pastry barleywine. Instead of brewing yet another imperial pastry stout, we created a beer with a rich, full mouthfeel and flavours reminiscent of a delicious Tarte Tatin cake. Think complex layers of malt, sticky caramel, biscuit and apple. Perfect for sipping or as a dessert beer.
