This style arose in the 90s in the USA, the result of the Artisan revolution that celebrates and expresses the greatness of hops, taking the IPA style to the extreme. Robust. Intensely hopped. Abundant and persistent foam. In aroma and flavor, the resins and essential oils of the hops stand out, with citrus, fruit and pine notes. The malt base balances the intensity of the hops and the high alcohol content, resulting in excellent drinkability.
