California IPA, 14°Blg
We invite you to try the Banger with number #12. What special characteristics characterise this guest? California Banger this time was fermented with lager yeast.
Why didn't we call this beer a Cold IPA and put it in the California IPA drawer?
The reason is that it tastes like the bitter dry ale that characterises California's popular West Coast style of West Coast IPA. For us, the differences are very minimal when it comes to the perception of the final product. The modern California IPA is idolised for its dryness and refreshing bitterness with a more intense hopping of the beer for flavour and aroma. We used Warrior hops for the bitterness in this beer while a blend of HBC 586 and Mosaic for the whirlpool and cold hop. This is one of our favourite hop duos.
