Beer description

Chimay Triple is a traditional Belgian Trappist beer. It has a golden yellow color and the bitterness combines softness in a rare balance. Both the nose and the palate are dominated by fruity aromas of lemon, grapefruit and mandarin, perfectly coordinated with the malty-caramel tones and yeasty notes. A very full-bodied, slightly spicy beer.

Bronzefarben, trüb, weißer, gemischtporiger Schaum. In der Nase alkoholisch, hefig, fruchtig. Auf der Zunge Mandarine, Aprikose, Karamell, leicht krautig. Feine Bittere im Abgang.

Das Trappistenbier ist mir ein tacken zu herb und Weizenlastig. Im Antrunk etwas süßlich mit Tendenz Richtung Schokolade.

Schmeckt nach typischem Triple und etwas nach Hefeweizen. Sehr sprudelig aber etwas weniger cremig als andere Tripel.
