Spontaneous, sour
Fermentation
Beer description
Combustion Spontanée is a blended beer inspired by the Belgian Gueuzeries. Matured in oak wine barrels for 17 months, the spontaneously fermented beers in this blend are made with Témiscamingue floor malt and old-fashioned hops. In the depths of Le Prospecteur's cellar, a panoply of airborne micro-organisms can be found. Our oak barrel cellar provides the ferments for this beer, giving it a fruity, slightly sour acidity, a rustic taste and aromas of earth, leather, hay and barnyard. In short, a wild, rustic and funky beer that, I assure you, will not cause you to spontaneously combust!
