Fermentation
Beer description
"Due Mondi" was born as Dopplebock (German double malt beer) reinterpreted with American hops used in fermentation.
With a monk's tunic colour, the foam is compact, fine-grained and cappuccino coloured. When drunk it is rather dry, therefore easily drinkable despite the fair alcohol content (7,7°), the aroma is of roasted malt (coffee and carob) and you can find without too much effort ripe red fruit like plum. The aroma of hops is very evident. The taste is well characterized by malts, the presence of alcohol disappears quickly because of the dryness that we have obtained, the bitterness has a persistence not negligible, in the aftertaste appears again the American hops.
A beer to cheer this rainy autumn and to warm us from the cold winter. Suitable for the table with complex and even mature cheeses. Perfect with stewed and baked meats (pork shank and lamb). Also interesting with vegetable and cheese flans. Our chef recommends it with a taleggio cheese risotto and chestnuts!
