Beer description
This batch aged for over 18 months in barrels previously used for Pineau des Charentes Rouge from the French Cognac region. It is a popular drink made by adding Cognac to fermenting grapes. This fortified wine then matures in oak barrels and is mostly consumed as an aperitif.
This makes Batch 51 once again a delicious tasting beer that should be enjoyed at leisure. A very refined combination of La Trappe Quadrupel, Pineau des Charentes Rouge, and oak wood. Blended in May 2024.
Composition of the barrel-aged beers:
Pineau des Charentes Rouge 92%
New Oak Medium Toast 4%
New Oak High Toast 4%
