Beer description

Hazy dark brown, slowly thinning, off-white head. Aroma of peat, mocha, licorice, raisin, fondant, sweet tobacco, olive. Taste is medium malty sweet, quite fruity, fig & raisin next to chocolate & licorice; herbal bitter notes of mocha, dried tea, earth & peat, rendering it a bit smoky & umami-like (black olive). Dryish, malty, slightly herbal hoppy finish, lingering caramel, licorice & warming whisky-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Doesn’t really know where it’s going and I had the impression it falls a bit flat for its ABV. Although certainly well-made, it somewhat disappointed me, but I wouldn't mind having it again.
