We'd never brewed a pumpkin ale before. Why not? We asked our head brewer: "Because I don't like orange vegetables..."
But last winter, Thibo happened to live on—you guessed it—a pumpkin farm. So a Pumpkin Ale seemed inevitable! We brewed this beer right after last year's harvest chaos and aged it in barrels that previously held sweet maple syrup. Bottled just in time for release just before this harvest season.
Does Thibo actually like orange vegetables anymore? You'll have to ask him yourself!
And the name? The pumpkins are called SweetMama. After all, it doesn't always have to be complicated!
