Rottenburg hops are an old German variety that almost disappeared completely due to industrial developments in the brewing industry in the 1970s.
Ludwig Locher, from Locher-Hopfen in the Tettnang growing region, saved a single plant, cultivated it, and has been growing it again on a few hectares for several years.
The result is a finely fruity, slightly floral, sweetish pale ale with a tart finish!
