Beer description
Meadowfoam blossom & Wildflower honeys, Zahidi dates, cacao nibs, candy cap mushrooms, cinnamon, vanilla, toasted hazelnuts, black walnuts & smoked chiles. A collaboration with The Brûlée Bar.
This mead is packed with layers and layers of complexity. Closest thing to describe it might be an intense mole mead, but even that doesn't do it justice. Notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, smoke, toasted hazelnuts, toffee and chicory appear at first, but each pass is a different experience. You may get the Werther's Original notes from the base mead, or the vanilla from the meadowfoam blossom honey, or the nuts or the chiles or the cinnamon all interplaying with each other.
More of the same in the taste: toffee, smoky chiles, maple & caramel. The taste is rich and decadent with a subtle spice kick that doesn't linger too long. The suggestion of chocolate from the cacao nibs, vanilla & mulato & ancho chiles lingers after the finish.
The label art by Kyler Suchey is just as epic as the mead!
