Eventide Anniversary Ale 2019

The Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout made its debut on January 5th. This beast of a beer is 9.5% but balanced nicely with notes of chocolate, toffee, caramel, and roast coffee. Brewmaster used whiskey barrels from one of our local favorites, ASW Distillery, to age the beer to perfection. The oak brings out a slight vanilla flavor but finishes with a hint of whiskey. Everything about this beer embodies a Russian Imperial Stout. Its color is black with a slight reddish tint and mocha colored head. With lower carbonation, it lends itself to a creamy mouthfeel. The Anniversary Ale's high alcohol content is balanced nicely by the high hop rate.
