Beer description
The Russian Imperial Stout is a special beer, one usually highly regarded amongst traditional Ale drinkers and Craft Beer lovers. Crimea River is no exception, it’s a rich dark colour, insanely high in Alcohol and each sip is like disassembling a Russian Doll; something different and more delicate underneath.
These powerhouse stouts were created in London and shipped to Russian and Baltic states in the early 1800s. This was all part of the anglicisation of Russia under Tsar Catherine, AKA Catherine The Great. She saw that British beer was good and wanted it as the cream atop the Russian Wedding Cake, so to speak, for the high classes.
