Beer description
In the English Bitter family the "Extra Special" are those with greater character, increased in our Borgna by the unusual use of Saaz hops, coming from the Czech Republic and normally destined for Pilsner beers (the name of the beer derives from the pun between "Czech Republic" and "blind", which in Piedmontese dialect is called "borgna"). Saaz, used in small quantities also in dry hopping, allows us to impart herbaceous notes that bind very well with the rustic and slightly fruity character of the English yeast used. Among the malts, the base is Maris Otter, enriched with modest quantities of caramel malts.
Birra rossa poco frizzante ma con schiuma abbondante e stabile. Odore leggero e gusto un poco dolce. 😋
