Beer description
Mashed with local two row barley courtesy of Riverbend Malt House and raw cateto orange corn courtesy of Red Tail Grains. Fermented cool with our preferred lager yeast strain until bone dry. Lagered extensively until crisp and crushable.
This lager is nod to an American tradition. However use the finest, locally grown, two row barley along with heritage orange corn to create a distinctly Appalachian Lager. Where macro beer producers would add rice or corn to cheapen their lagers, adding beautifully grown, hard-to-find varieties to enhance our unique lagers.
While drinking the first batch of LJL, brewers fell in love with the beer with a subtle addition of salt and lime. So as an ode to Mexican-style lagers, added fresh, house zested limes and sea salt for an unbeatable thirst quenching beach lager perfect for the shores of Lake James.
