Forbidden Peak Brewery - AukNess

AukNess Black Lager is a dark German lager based in the Schwarzbier style. A moderate hop flavor is noticeable but is blanketed by a roasted yet smooth malt base. The slightest hint of roasted flavor presents itself initially and then, like that, it is gone. AukNess has a light body with a frosty off-white head and a clean lager finish. The beer is dark, to match the depths of Auke Lake, which is over 100’ deep. What lurks below the surface in the murky depths of Auke Lake? Many a tales have been told of the legendary AukNess Monster brushing up against swimmers as they attempt to tread the frigid waters of Auke Lake. Though a trickster by nature, there are no records that indicate AukNess poses any threat to humans and is safe to drink.
