Beer description
Aroma of unripe mandarin, orange juice, soggy rusk, dried rosemary, wet bread crust, yellow grapefruit, bitter plant seeds, touch of lychee in the background, lemon thyme, honey, old potatoes, roses, ripe pear. Fruity onset both from hops and (more so) from esters, pointing at pear, pineapple, orange and red apple with a subtle dash of banana thrown in; fizzy carb, but small-bubbled and agreeable. Supple, slick body, quite 'full' though, bready and rusk-like, under a long, but not overly harsh, grapefruit juice- and herb-like hop bitterness, a tad peppery and rooty, but mildly so; notes of mango pulp, orange and lychee do show up but relatively faintly so, and get immediately buried under 'Belgian' yeast effects especially in the end, when more bready and fruity yeastiness comes up alongside too much residual sugariness (out of place in a genuine IPA if you ask me).
