Gilman Cherries Jubilee

This beer starts as Oilpan Stout, a super dark, full bodied stout brewed with a massive injection of real chocolate late in fermentation. With dense aromas of roasted malt and cocoa this beer was the perfect starting point for an even more decadent experiment. Poured on nitro for a super creamy head and mouthfeel, the addition of lactose and a secondary fermentation on tart cherries results in a smooth, silky, rich body reminiscent of the dark chocolate, milky frosting, and tart/sweet cherry flavors of the old-school classic Cherries Jubilee cake.
