Beer description
Witbier with lemon thyme, 12°Blg We are pleased to present our new project ZAMKOWE OPOWIEŚCI (CASTLE TALES) and the first beer of this series - Ogród Mistrza (Master's Garden) - Witbier with lemon thyme. ZAMKOWE OPOWIEŚCI is a project where we want to use the aromas and taste of our beers to tell the story of Malbork Castle, which is almost entirely adjacent to the brewery. Therefore, we invited the chef Bogdan Gałązka from the Gothic Cafe restaurant of the castle, who is very familiar with the medieval cuisine of the Grand Master, to collaborate. The Master's Garden is a place in the castle that grew herbs and spices used in the castle kitchen, including lemon thyme. Thyme was already known in ancient Egypt. The Romans and Greeks valued thyme as a medicine, spice and incense. Thyme is a symbol of courage and strength. Thyme came to Poland thanks to Queen Bona's chefs. In the Middle Ages, thyme was an amulet that white women presented to their knights in tournaments as a sign of victory and bravery. Get to know our new beer.
